To do this, you will need to get to the last part of the quick checkout process, then click on the ‘Discount’ / ‘Promotion’ link.

These will open relevant pop-ups that will allow you to either enter a custom discount, or apply a promotion.

A ‘Promo Code’ is a type of promotion that involves the customer entering a code at the checkout in order to apply a discount or recieve a free product.

This promotion can apply a discount (monetary or percentage) to the total order, a discount to individual products in the order or to add a free product to your order if you have met the required criteria.

Creating a Promo Code

To create a Promo Code, you will need to click on the ‘Promotions’ tab in the sidebar of the admin section. The next page will show the list of promotions that you have available to use. To create a new promotion, press the ‘Create’ button at the top of the page.

The promotion creation modal will then pop up on the screen. Now you will need to specify a brief description of the promotion (so that you can remember what it is for at a later date).

You have 3 options when it comes to the type of Promo Code you can have. No matter which option you pick, you will need to ensure ‘Automatically Apply’ is not ticked as this will apply a discount without the customer needing to enter a code in.

Total Order

A total order discount will be applied to the final value at the checkout. Because this discounts the final payment, it will included discounts of ‘Add-Ons’ and shipping options.

As you can see from the example above, I have a ‘Promo Code’ of XMAS20 with a value of 20 percent (un-ticking ‘is percent’ will change it to a £20 value) and a person needs to have a total order amount of £100 in their basket in order to use the promotion.

Finally, the promotion is set to ‘Active’, meaning that this code can now be used on the site as soon as somebody has the requirements (£100 value or more in their basket) and have used the code (‘XMAS20’).

Per Product

‘Per Product’ allows you to specify individual products that the promotion can be used on. If a customer has added 3 products to their basket, but the Promo Code can only be used on two, only those two will have a discount applied to them.

When clicking on the categories field, all current categories will appear, allowing you to add entire categories (all of the products within them) that you would like this discount to be applied to.

You can also add individual products by simply clicking in the products field and selecting which you would like to add.

The quick checkout will allow you to purchase a voucher on behalf of a customer, whether they are in front of you or on the phone.

There are four different steps in the quick checkout:

Catalogue

The catalogue section is where you will be able to search for the product your customer wants and then add it to your basket.

Messages

This section is where you can add a personal message to the product(s) that are in your order. This message will be shown on their voucher when it is printed/downloaded.

Delivery

The delivery section is where you specify how the customer will receive their voucher(s).

Here you will have an option (depending on what fulfilment options your products have) of specifying if the voucher can be sent via email, post or to be collected.

When picking the postal delivery option, you will be prompted to pick the packaging option as well as the shipping type for the order. When picking collection, you can specify the collection point also (if this has been added previously in the fulfilment options).

Payment

The payment page is just that, the pay in which the payment is taken (if the value of the order is above 0). This is also the page where you are able to add any promotional codes or to discount the order.

If you are not taking payment for the order via the Enjovia platform and instead are taking payment in person/on your own internal payment system, you would pick ‘Alternative Payment’ and ignore the ‘Pay by Card’ section.

Discounts can either be automatically applied via the product, or the discount can be applied at the checkout process.

Product Discount

This discount will make the ‘product tile’ on the home page, as well as the product page show the previous price, the percentage/value discount and the new price.

To create this, go to the ‘Promotions’ tab in the dashboard and then click ‘create’ a new promotion. After which, you will need to pick a ‘product discount’ and to fill in the details of this promotion.

Checkout Discount

A checkout discount is only shown at the checkout stage.

If the user has not met the criteria, the discount will still appear as an option that would be ‘available’ (without it being applied or reducing the price), but when the person clicks on it to use it, they will be prompted on why they aren’t able to use the offer. In this case, the £99.99 product did not meet the criteria of having to spend £100 or above.

The below video shows how to create a new automatic checkout promotion.

Click create, ‘Checkout offer’ and then ‘Free Product’.

You will then be asked if there is a minimum spend in order to get this product, if that minimum spend has to be on products in a particular category or if it is only applicable when purchasing certain products.
